Research Interests:
- Meta-materials; and in particular those aspects of meta-materials that deal with negative index of refraction and surface plasmon phenomena.
- Applications of material analysis that are useful as legal evidence (forensic science)
- Methods of preparing, analyzing and applying group-III nitrides (GaN, AlN and InN) and their alloys (InGaN, AlGaN, etc.) particularly for applications of IR and UV detector arrays.
- High temperature sensors based on semiconductors and ceramic composites. (InSnOx, ZnO, NiCoCrAlY, etc.)
Other Professional Interests:
- The training of students to be competent, inquisitive scientists and engineers who will appreciate the joys of learning and understand throughout their professional lives.
