Subject: Hwk 7 modification

Dear ChE 313 students,

As I mentioned in class today, there is one additional section on the first problem for hwk 7.

Elliott and Lira, 4.16 (part a): after calculating the heat required, then calculate how many moles of methane would have to be combusted to provide this amount of heat.

For completeness, the entire assignment is

1) E & L, problem 4.16 (both parts, with addendum from above)

2) E & L, problem 4.17, read it but don't do any calculations. Instead explain in words why this modification should make the cycle more efficient.

3) E & L, problem 4.18.

The first project is also due on Wednesday.

Finally, the Amgen internship info should be available via http://www.amgen.com
