Subject: monomer for HW problem 2d

Dear CHE 530 students,

For the 2nd problem on HWK 1 (due tomorrow), I drew the monomer on the board in class but forgot to email the information.

If your book lists different monomers for parts (c) and (d), then you're all set.

My book lists the same monomer for both parts (c) and (d), which is why I thought a change was required. The correct monomers are

(c) HO-(CH2)_5 -(C=O)-OH

(d) CH2 = CH-CN

The C and N are connected with a triple bond, which I can't draw in my email program.
