It’s not a fluke. In the past, University of Rhode Island students have won some prestigious scholarships. Now winning them has become a URI tradition ... Elana Viola of Cranston, an electrical engineering, chemistry, and math major has the distinction of being awarded two Goldwater Scholarships, one in 2005 and one in 2009.

Named 8th Dean of the College of Engineering

KINGSTON, R.I. May 21, 2009 - Raymond M. Wright, a respected environmental engineering professor at the University of Rhode Island who has served as interim Dean of the College of Engineering since 2007, has been appointed dean of the college on a permanent basis, effective May 17.  Dr. Wright has served in numerous leadership roles and has always been a valuable contributor to the University community (more...)
