Student Internships

Students elect to have Engineering Internships. They are not a requirement for graduation in the College of Engineering. There are three formal internship programs:

Career Fairs

There are two career fairs for engineers each year where companies seek students both for full time employment after graduation and also for internships:

At other times of the year companies will send their internship requests directly to the College or to individual departments.

Internship Experiences: Class of 2007-08, Class of 2008-09

Approximately 82% of the Engineering Graduating Class of 2008 and 2009 had at least one engineering internship experience. These experiences included 14% international, 23% out of state, and 22% in URI Engineering Research Laboratories.
