Engineering Scholarships

Engineering scholarships are given out each year and are based either on academic merit, financial need or both. Financial need is determined by the University and requires the submission of a completed FAFSA form annually.

To be considered for a scholarship, please send an e-mail to dean@egr.uri.edu with "Engineering Scholarship Inquiry" in the subject line, and include or attach the following information:

  • your full name and address;
  • your current year at UR (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior);
  • your major(s) and any minors you are pursuing;
  • your current GPA (check your records in e-Campus for this);
  • a brief statement telling us about yourself and explaining how a scholarship will benefit you personally; and
  • a current resume.

Engineering Ambassadors

Ambassadors are COE student leaders who actively represent the COE to alumni, industry professionals, prospective students and parents, and others by participating in COE events such as the Engineering Career Fair, Awards Banquets,URI Open Housee, Commencement, student recruitment activities and other. Ambassadors are selected annually and receive scholarship funds.
