SSH Secure Client - This software provides a secure connection to a server (such as pele). It includes both a Shell client (terminal window) and a File Transfer client (ftp) which can be used to access your server files ( "S" drive or webpages) from outside the ECC. See Server Access for details on installing and running ssh.

X-Win - This software allows you open an X Window session to a remote UNIX machine. Documentation is provided in x-win414.doc.

Active Perl - This software allows you to create and run Perl programs in a Windows environment (version 5.8.7 from www.activestate.com). To use: download, unzip and install. Then use tools>folder options>file types to associate the PL file type with c:\Perl\bin\perl.exe.
