PRINTER CREDITS: Every undergraduate student will get 200 black printer credits and 50 color printer credits per semester. Credits are non transferable. Credits do not roll over. After every print job, a quota box will display remaining credits. Please monitor your credits carefully to make them last the semester. There is no facility for paying for additional credits.

DON'T TAKE MEMORY STICKS LEFT IN PCS !!!!!
One day that memory stick will be yours. Please turn them into the student operators. They will look for a name on the stick to email the owner for pick up.

Welcome: ECC Users ...

This is the website for the URI College of Engineering Computer Center. Think of it as the online presence for a place that many URI engineering students call home.

The ECC features 85 workstations, scanning, printing and plotting services, cable and wireless Internet access for personal laptop computers, three classrooms and a conference room.

The ECC also provides centralized services, with two linux servers, for @egr.uri.edu email accounts, college web sites and online file storage for engineering students.  Please refer to the left menu for more information on any of these topics.

The following link is to a general introduction to the ECC, as presented in the Fall 2008 EGR105 seminar (pdf).

Discovery Center: now open!

The Discovery Center is a high-end computer classroom. It has seating for 30 students with dual monitor PCs; an instructor podium with tablet monitors and the ability to interact with any of the student PCs; eight wide screen flat panel TV monitors, two projectors, and a laser printer. The room is a renovation of rooms 203C & E, combining them into one large space. The Perdikakis conference room, Kirk 203D, remains intact with a small study room connecting it to the main part of the Computer Center.
