ISE 542- Introduction to Computer-Aided Manufacturing
Use of computers in manufacturing. Solid modeling principles and applications. Numerical and adaptive control. CNC programming. Introduction to rapid manufacturing.
ABET Course Description
Prerequisite: ISE 240 or permission of instructor.
Course Objectives:
- A broad understanding of the applications of computers to manufacturing.

- An understanding and use of CAD/ CAM software.

- The ability to write robot programs and operate an IBM 7545 Robot
|
- The ability to create CNC programs.
|
- The ability to investigate and learn about a new topic in a group setting.
|
- The ability to do group presentations and reports.
