Summary
Dr. Maier-Speredelozzi joined the IME faculty in 2003 after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. Her dissertation research in manufacturing system convertibility and configuration selection was completed at the NSF-sponsored Engineering Research Center for Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems. Dr. Maier-Speredelozzi has presented at professional conferences including the 2002 North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC) and the 2003 General Assembly of the International Institute for Production Engineering Research (CIRP). Dr. Maier-Speredelozzi is a member of SWE (Society of Women Engineers), SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers), ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education), and IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineers). She currently teaches Industrial Engineering Design I, Manufacturing Processes, and a graduate course in Lean Manufacturing Systems.
