Position:
Internship Project
Project Summary : The focus of this project is to improve the reliability and predictability of Cranston supply. The project will include the development of process controls and capabilities for the manufacturing functions of melting, grain, wire, sheet stock, and tube products, for all metal types (i.e. silver, gold, platinum). This effort includes, but is not limited to the following engineering tasks:
- Developing Critical to Quality (CTQ) criteria for each operation.
- Develop process capability and parameters for each operation that meets CTQ’s.
- Develop failure analysis for each operation.
- Identify Repeat and Reliability (R&R) studies for all critical operations.
- Identify and develop documentation process for all engineering data in operations.
This position will identify machine needs to expand Cranston’s ability to ship additional material to finished good suppliers. This associate will work with the Director of Finance, Cranston Manufacturing Manager, and Cranston Metals Manager to identify Return-on-Investment and Capital documentation. 
Other tasks included, but not limited in the scope:
- Inventory Control Area Layout
- Housekeeping Routines and Timing

Position:
Manufacturing Assurance Engineer
Location: Forest Hill, NY
General Purpose
1) Plan and implement new manufacturing processess and lead improvement of existing processes.
2) Responsible for teaming with NPE and manufacturing to ensure Tiffany & Co. quality standards are maintained throughout the facility.
3) Provide training and education to all associates on Quality standards and process operations.
Key Accountabilities
1) Develop, implement, and execute effective control plans to monitor production and work processes. Promote manufacturing development through validation, surveillance and audit of product, processes, and quality systems. (25% of the time)
2) Partner with engineering to ensure new products meet all Tiffany & Co. requirements. Contribute as development team member to ensure process capability, execute FMEA studies, write and validate work instructions, develop control plans, complete new product evaluation forms, define specfication and workmanship standards and validate BOM's and Routings. (30% of the time)
3) Responsible for developing and documenting manufacturing methods. Provide cost estimates for new products. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and quality improvements. (25% of the time)
4) Lead corrective action projects and participate in MRB activities. Support document control and calibration programs. (20% of the time)
Job Requirements

  • BS in a engineering or other technical discipline
  • 5 years of industrial experience with heavy emphasis on quality assurance
  • Knowledge of process improvement.
  • Proficient in English, written and oral
  • Possess driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel among the various Tiffany & Co. locations and vendors/suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

  • American Society for Quality certification in Quality Engineer or other
  • Ability to read and analize technical drawing.
