3rd Ed. for "Fundamentals of Machining and Machine Tools"

Professor Geoffrey Boothroyd and Professor Winston Knight have just published the third edition of their textbook called "Fundamentals of Machining and Machine Tools". This third edition reflects the changes which have been affecting the industry during the last years. It analyzes the developments in analytical modeling of machining processes, modern cutting tool materials, and how the changes are influencing the economics of machining.

Annual End of the Year Dinner, 2005

On December 10, faculty, staff, current students, alumni, and friends of the department gathered at the Whispering Pines Lodge at the W. Alton Jones Campus to celebrate the end of the year and the success that it had held. A social hour was followed by dinner, during which several prizes were raffled off. A plaque was presented to Vincent A. Marseglia for his hard work as chapter President of the Senior Chapter of IIE for many years. The dinner is a much anticipated event of the year.
