Engineering alumni, students and friends enjoyed teeing off together at the 3rd Annual Golf Outing, held at the Beaver River Golf Club on Sept. 26, 2003. Fifty-two enthusiastic players, led by COE Dean Bahram Nassersharif and professors Hunter, Gregory, Lee, and Kim competed for prizes that were awarded to the best three foursomes.

Prizes included four copies of a collage of the University
landmarks, drawn by Karl Rittman and generously donated by John
Nystrom; a golf shirt and hat donated by Jim Ayars; and gift
certificates to the Beaver River Pro Shop.
Students attended the event for free, thanks to generous
donations
from the alumni. Both lunch and dinner at the club were included
in the outing. The golf committee, chaired by Leo Mainelli and
assisted by John Nystrom, Jim Ayars, Tom Kim, Otto Gregory,
Robert Clough and Doug Sherman, organized the event. The next
Golf Outing is scheduled for September 24, 2004. For more information,
